Solutions for Dreamers

In June, evangelical leaders in North Carolina gathered virtually to discuss potential solutions for Dreamers. At the event, several Dreamers shared their stories. These compelling narratives help us understand how deeply integrated Dreamers are in our families, churches, businesses and communities.

Recently, a federal judge in Texas ruled that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is illegal. While the order will not immediately impact the status of the hundreds of thousands of young people who currently rely upon DACA to live and work lawfully in the U.S., it creates new uncertainty and anxiety for these individuals and their families and restricts the Department of Homeland Security from approving new DACA applicants. This decision only increases the urgency for Congress to create a permanent solution for Dreamers. You can urge Congress to act here.
